Our Five Categories of Support For Minority-Owned Businesses

• Traditional Consulting. BCG Spark’s original initiative—developed in partnership with The Majira Project, a Boston-based nonprofit—brings direct pro bono consulting support to MWBEs across the US with the help of more than 400 BCG volunteers across nearly 20 offices.
• Project-Proximate Consulting. Driven by a diverse cohort of more than a dozen college fellows with BCG mentorship and support, this part of the program connects students from historically black universities, minority-serving institutions, and other universities with MWBEs to help solve key business problems.
• Supplier Diversity Initiatives. This initiative aims to increase the percentage of MWBEs represented in BCG’s supply chain and to help clients diversify their own supplier bases.
• Mentorship. BCG Spark also fosters a culture of mentorship within BCG, offering advice to founders of MWBEs and those interested in startups and MWBE engagement.
• General Education and Networking. BCG Spark builds educational tools and playbooks aimed at helping MWBEs succeed, and it shares best practices in lectures at business schools and with other corporate and nonprofit partners. We also provide a community and network for MWBEs, allowing them to trade insights and connect with our partners.
